Pollution
More than 34 million gallons of liquid industrial waste were dumped in the acid pits during its years of operation. The toxic mixed included over 200 carcinogens. Contamination from the site leached into groundwater and spread for miles through the Jurupa Valley, forcing closure of private drinking water wells. Testing has revealed groundwater pollution, such as volatile organic compounds (VOCs), perchlorate and heavy metals such as cadmium, nickel, chromium and more. Testing has revealed groundwater pollution that includes volatile organic compounds (VOCs), perchlorate and heavy metals such as cadmium, nickel, chromium and manganese.
Note that this is a direct route of exposure -- toxic chemicals penetrated into the city's groundwater which is often used to for agriculture, and gardening.

The soil conditions were also compromised by the leaking of the acid pits. The soil is contaminated with pesticides, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), sulfates, perchlor, and other heavy metals.
Note, this is also a direct route of exposure.

Environmental & Health Impacts.
Visible environmental impacts included waste overflow, Surface water pollution, decreasing of water (physico-chemical, biological) quality, groundwater pollution or depletion

Health impacts are "unknown" (something seems a little suspicious).
The exposure to unknown or uncertain complex risk means health impacts are also unknown.

However, I think it is important to not that over 200 of the chemicals found in the Stringfellow location are carcinogens, which means they are known to the state of California to cause cancer, and/or birth defects. It is also well known that pollutants in the air cause respiratory health impacts.
